Rana’s Three Debuts

A leading dictionary defines the word ‘debut’ as a person’s first appearance and that’s what Rana is precisely doing. He’s made his debut as an actor in Telugu already but he is also making his debut in Tamil and Hindi. A think-piece.

‘Leader’ was a sensational debut for Rana. Primarily for being launched by one of south India’s reputed production houses, AVM and next being launched by an intelligent director Shekhar Kammulla. It is nothing but a dream debut for a star in the making.

With his grand father who is a movie moghul of India, his father as one of India’s leading producers and his uncle as one of Tollywood’s leading star, Rana couldn’t have asked for a better company to be with. A strong foundation in place, Rana has already found his second movie but it is logically his first. Yes, his second movie is his first movie in Hindi. Titled ‘Dum Maro Dum’ and directed by Rohan Sippy, the movie is based on the drug trade in Goa. Rana plays a Goan musician with Bipasha as his pair!

Swimming in familiar waters of Tollywood is nothing new to Rana. He has now begun to swim in Bollywood. He has started a simultaneous career in Bollywood as well in a big budget movie along with co-star Abhishek Bachchan. Another dream debut but this time in Hindi!

Not just that. Rana has also signed his third movie but logically speaking his first! This time, it’s his first movie in Tamil. Rana marks his debut in Tamil with talented director Selvaraghavan. Believed to be a period love story, the movie’s crew is yet to start shooting because they haven’t found a heroine yet! One reason could be the sky scraping height of Rana.

With a series of debut, Rana perhaps has started a new league of his own! Three movies this year yet all being his debut! Way to go Rana! You have an excellent career in front of you!
